ShortReads Press™ promotes the idea that “short is spectacular” by publishing a series of collectible books celebrating Northern California writers. Sized for a fast read, each has a specific theme, usually based on visual images. Writers are asked to study the images and see where they take them.
The brainchild of Elana O’Loskey of Danville, California and Sue Clark of Lincoln, California, ShortReads Press™ was inspired by a visit to the British Library at St. Pancras in London where ‘short reads’ are plentiful and commonly enjoyed during bus, tube and train rides. We describe ourselves as “two women devoted to words,” whether those words are in the form of poetry, flash fiction, personal essays, articles or anything else our writers can dream up!
